Full Name: Mark Stratton
Place of birth: Adelaide, South Australia
Background: Mark is an SSI Dive Master Instructor who received his professional training from SSI Instructor Trainer Carl Mooney. Mark has a particular interest in teaching specialty diving courses, including advanced first aid and resuscitation, and particularly enjoys contributing to the personal development of other divers. He also holds a coxswain certification so it is not unusual to find him as the skipper or dive guide on Snorkel Safari’s 7.5m rigid inflatable vessel MV Nauti Nomad. Having dived many sites throughout South Australia, Mark is turning his attention to actively exploring other diving destinations, including: Port Phillip Bay in VIC; Rottnest Island WA; the Great Barrier Reef and live-aboard trips out to Osprey Reef QLD; and diving with the Grey Nurse sharks at South West Rocks NSW. Recently Mark led a trip to dive the SS President Coolidge at Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu and cranked out a 64 m dive to the stern with his wife Lynn. Keep your eye out for opportunities for some other interstate or international diving adventures with Mark. Add him on Facebook as Mark is always willing to buddy up with other divers of any experience.
