Kangaroo Island, located 112 km, one short ferry ride, south west of Adelaide houses the biggest populations of leafy sea dragons making a one stop spot if you really want to see the unique creatures. Also known for their fur seal colonies and 270 different fish species KI is guaranteed to allow you to witness plenty of sea life.

Kingscote Jetty

Max Depth: 6 m.

Although it is not is big as Rapid Bay jetty, Kingscote Jetty  still a great little jetty dive. There are plenty of colourful sponges, zebra fish, crabs, butterfish and especially has the famous leafy sea dragons which, of course, are a must see in SA.

it is an easy jetty or shore dive and free car parking is right beside. You can either go in via the shore as it drops away quite quickly or from the jetty.

Hanson Bay

Rating: Novice
Max Depth: 6 m.

You will find Hanson Bay on the south side of the island. The reef makes for an interesting, shallow dive, as there are an abundance of marine life to be found here, but be careful when there is a swell running!

Western River Cove

Rating: Novice
Max Depth: 14 m.

You can find the Western River Cove on the north side of the island. Most of the cove makes for a great dive, but the best part of the cove is on the western headland, which is a long walk from the car park, but well worth the effort.
